Yayasan Prihatin Nasional (Prihatin) will cooperate with Panas Express !
KUALA LUMPUR – The Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) welcomes the collaboration between Koperasi Profesional Putrajaya Berhad (Koprojaya) and Smart Meal Group Holding Sdn Bhd (Smart Meal) in advancing artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
Its Chairman, Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, said that this is part of MATRADE’s efforts to integrate technology into trade operations, especially at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC).
“Since I was entrusted as Chairman of MATRADE, I have found that adapting to technology is crucial. Therefore, one of our initiatives is to ensure MATRADE keeps pace with technological advancements.
“This is in line with MITEC’s recognition as the Best Conference Centre in Asia 2023,” he said today.
His speech was read by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysian Cooperative Commission (SKM), Amran Abdul Kadir, at the launch of the Panas Express Kiosk, an AI-powered unmanned convenience store, at MITEC.
This represents a collaboration between Koprojaya and Smart Meal in introducing Panas Express at MITEC.
Reezal Merican said that MATRADE, as the owner of MITEC, welcomes the initiative and collaboration of both parties involved, which demonstrates support for the government’s agenda to enhance AI technology.
He described it as not just an ordinary collaboration, but one involving a cooperative of government officers and industry players.
“I commend the strategic cooperation of Koprojaya, which is quick and adaptable to current developments. This proves that government personnel are capable of turning technological advancements into reality.
“This capability is certainly supported by government agencies like SKM and the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP), which are the backbone of cooperative development in Malaysia,” he added.
